The following project is guided by the FANTA's Young Ones 2024 Brief.
The task at hand was to make Fanta relevant to 18-year-olds. The challenge was to create a headline-breaking Fanta brand act that shows how the brand and product can play a role in popular culture that appeals to teens.
I knew I had to tap into pop culture and decided to try my hand at subtle humor, as young adults these days would appreciate and remember a brand that's funny. I thought why not show Fanta in places where you shouldn't really be enjoying a Fanta drink? "After all, there’s nothing functional about Fanta’s lip-smacking refreshment. It’s not something you need." So, I decided that Fanta should break that barrier where it could be drank no matter the situation at hand. A funeral? Give me that big orange can!
With that in mind, I have developed a traditional Fanta animation on After Effects for social media (instagram story) as well as 6 static posters using Photoshop, Illustrator and Midjourney AI that could be placed anywhere along the way of your everyday life, with the first poster being rolled out first to gather attention that Fanta is like an arcade game, never goes out of style. The rest of the posters will start popping up couple weeks after the initial release.
You could see these posters plastered on walls along your commute to work/school, on digital screens, or even on top of a billboard next to a highway.

Deliverables:
6 horizontal posters
1 animation
I also created a mini animation in After Effects that just shows the cans moving around, could be used as a Instagram post or some sort.
